Personal Training Tujunga Success – Go Fit Now
I had a recent, rather shocking success I wanted to share.
I have been snowboarding since the sport’s inception in the early ’80s. I have always been a good snowboarder, though I figured it was always inherently difficult. To be sure, EVERY time I boarded, I was sore for days after.
Until the last time I went.
After suffering a massive heart attack, I’ve been working with Rudi twice a week since October of 2017. We have focused on a LOT of stretching and strength, as well as some cardio. I would say most of what I do is stretching, and this has REALLY helped my recovery process.
Last week, I went snowboarding for the first time in a few years. What struck me initially was how balanced I felt on the board- like I was not fighting any compensatory muscle factors in my body. I was just there, perfectly on the board. I honestly have to say, at age 58, I snowboarded better than I ever had in my life! That is saying a LOT, and is still hard for me to believe. But it is true!
Additionally, afterwards, I fully expected to be VERY sore, given I had not been boarding in several years, let alone since the heart attack. The amazing thing was I NEVER GOT SORE. This literally has NEVER happened – even when I was young.
Lastly, I was concerned about how I would do under the physical duress at 8,000 foot altitude. I actually was worried, thinking about the “what ifs”, like blacking out or something like that. There were NO effects of altitude on me.
The whole experience was a joy. I am a lifelong snowboarder and I could not be more pleased that with Rudi’s help I have opened up an entirely new chapter on my favorite sport!!!
Thank you endlessly for your support, patience and knowledge in what it takes to get a body to work.
Cheers!
Dave
