Exercise and Life Success Go Hand-in Hand
We have been doing quite a bit of reseach recently into how exercise and being fit benefits people in all aspects of their lives. This came after doing a survey with some of our newer clients to find out what they got out of their initial 4-hour personal training orientation. The answers were astounding and beyond what we were expecting as far as enthusiasm went and we realized that we have something very powerful that can benefit many good people in the same way.
Most of the people we work with are busy professionals. They have families, social and humanitarian commitments and want to be able to keep creating in all of their areas of interest and responsibility. When they neglect their physical fitness, a lot of other aspects of their lives start to slide and things get more and more difficult as pain, obesity, fatigue (mental and physical), depression and so on enters into the picture. A big part of what we do is to help reverse that slide and turn things around by giving them the right tools to be fit, strong and healthy going into the long future.
What we’ve observed after many many years of coaching people in the field of exercise is that when someone has the right program and is consistently working out, he/she starts to win again in other areas. We’ve had several people find love and get married, most have done better at work because their energy levels are high and they now have tools to eliminate pain and discomfort, and they all look healthier and feel better.
Exercise and Business Success
A powerful quote that illustrates the importance of exercise in business success comes from Socio-economist Randall Bell, Ph.D., who has been studying success for 25 years, analyzing the core characteristics that all great achievers have in common. “Those who exercised, even for 15 minutes a day, dominated statistically in every single measure of success.”
I think that says it all.
Here’s a link to an infographic that gives an idea of how 36 of the world’s top business leaders stay in shape – the point being, they’re all doing something, they could be doing something better but something done consistently is always better than nothing.
